We can’t wait to welcome you to Bryn Teg! Our farm is a working farm, and bookings are guided tours only so we can keep everyone safe and animals happy.

 

*Please read and agree before booking:*

 

*Animals are animals*  

All animals can kick, bite, scratch, headbutt, or jump – even the friendly ones. Pony rides: you can fall off. This is part of real farm life and by booking you accept these normal farm risks.

 

*Germs and handwashing*  

All animals naturally carry germs and viruses, including E. coli and cryptosporidium. Washing hands with soap and water is essential after touching animals, fences, or before eating. We have handwashing stations – please use them. Hand gels are not enough on farms.

 

*Who needs to take extra care*  

Pregnant women, babies in prams, children under 5, and anyone with a compromised immune system should be mindful of risks when visiting farms. NHS and Public Health Wales advise extra caution. If you’re unsure, please speak to your midwife or GP before booking. You are responsible for deciding if a farm visit is right for you.

 

*How we keep you safe*  

- Bookings only – no drop-ins. Your guided tour will be supervised by staff at all times.  

- Animal contact areas may be closed without notice for animal welfare or health reasons.  

- Follow staff instructions and signage. No entering pens unless staff invite you.  

- No food, drink, dummies or prams in animal areas. 

- you are advised to wash hands
